Our Grandmother Helene along with our grandfather Camille opened the BLUE SPRUCE in Murrysville in1956, purchased the five-acre property and tore down the original structure. In its place, They built the Blue Spruce, a single-level motel with clean, simple architecture. Pittsburgh's 1ST Outdoor Olympic Size Swimming Pool open to the public, which attracted locals from surrounding communities. Children, High School and College students in the late 1950s and early 1960s returned year after year building everlasting family memories!
Our Uncle Tony, a practicing attorney for over 45 years in Monroeville, he was the 1ST Mayor of Monroeville, the Solicitor of the Allegheny County Retirement System, and an Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Judge. As the first Mayor of Monroeville, he brought the public library and Forbes Regional Hospital to the community. He was fond of his Brooklyn, New York upbringing and proud of his education at Bucknell University and Cornell Law School before launching a private practice in Monroeville. Behind every great man , is a great women our Aunt Pat a corperate attorney and law partner.
